Mr. Arun Shrama : Managing Partner
Founder and brains of Hari Global, MR Arun Sharma is a law graduate and a qualified Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). With over 15 years of experience in corporate, legal and arbitration matters, Mr Sharma is dynamic and has been largely responsible for the transformation of Hari Global into a global team of professional legal advisory experts. At present he focuses on the corporate services section with emphasis of mergers and acquisitions and taxation matters among other relevant segments.
Mr. Ratneshwar Prasad
A mechanical engineering graduate from IIT< Kharagpur, Mr. Ratneshwar Prasad joined the Indian Revenue Services in 1970 and went on to acquire a bachelor of Law degree in 1975 after which he obtained a Masters in Science (Finance from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He served the income tax department for 37 years and has rich knowledge of taxation matters. At Hari Global Mr. Prasad, leads in corporate taxation practice and offers clients the benefit of his diverse experience in taxation matters.
Mr. Alok Kumar Banerjee (Ex Director, Finance of ONGC)
A one-time Director of ONGC, Mr. A K Banerjee is a specialist in corporate finance and is intimately knowledgeable about the corporate financing structure, projects and diverse financial matters. Mr. Banerjee has a Masters in Commerce further refined with an ACS from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India and FCA from the Chartered Accountants of India, an ACWA from the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India and a Diploma in Management from IGNOU. His expertise in financial matters is tempered by his knowledge of costing and auditing that make him the perfect legal expert to handle this practice area of the operations of Hari Global.
Miss Sujata Chaudhri
Miss Sujata Chaudhri has a bachelor of Law degree and a Masters in Law from Franklin Pierce Law Center, New Hampshire, USA. She went ton o specialize in IP litigation with rich international experience at Cowan, Leibowitz & Latman after which she formed her own firm IP Gurus before going independent as a consultant and IP attorney. Apart from offering the wisdom of her knowledge to clients of Hari Global, Miss Chaudhri is serving on the Executive Committee of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. B. Shankar
After retiring as Executive Director (HR) of BHEL, Mr. Shankar, a graduate in electrical engineering from IIT, leads arbitration processes at Hari Global and is in charge of crafting of strategies to bring about amicable settlements. Mr. Shankar possesses rich experience in corporate administration, corporate social responsibility and corporate law that he brings to the table. Active even at a ripe age Mr. Shankar has served as advisor and special assistant to four CMDs of BHEL and led a team of high-level committees of the government with acclaimed success.
Mr. Brienda Kumar Singh
Mr. B K Singh is critical to the smooth functioning of the litigation team of Hari Global mainly engaged in handling Central Excise and Customs, service tax and relevant matters pertaining to cases with the Tribunal and other state and central government authorities. As part of the IRS, he brings 30 years of profound experience and expertise for the benefit of our corporate clients. While in the service of the Indian Government, he gained in-depth knowledge of excise, customs and service tax that helps him to find new interpretations and turn a case around for our clients.
Justice (Retd.) R. C. Jain
A first class Law degree and diplomas in Legislative Drafting and Government Legal Advisor course from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London led to Justice R C Jain eventually attaining the post of Judge of the High Court of Delhi and equally high-level positions of the Government. Since his retirement, Justice R C Jain presided over more than 20 high level, high value arbitration matters, either as a sole arbitrator or as head of a tribunal.Handling arbitration matters for Hari Global, Justice R C Jain brings to bear all his knowledge, wisdom, matured insight and farsighted perspective to resolve tough and knotty issues of the satisfaction of all concerned.
Mr. S. Sunil
A qualified lawyer with decades of legal practice experience, Mr. S Sunil handles litigation practice of the firm. His domain of expertise encompasses domestic and international arbitration, writs, tenancy, real estate, family law, employment, labour, accident claims, and corporate, commercial and intellectual property matters in addition to company matters, insurance and maritime. Mr. Sunil has proven expertise in cases before the High Court and Supreme Court as well as lower level courts. Mr. Sunil is blessed with natural acumen and brings the years of experience and in-depth knowledge to the table a Hari Global.
Mr. V. M. Thareja
Mr. V M Thareja is Hari Global’s specialist for banking and financial matters with over 200 cases handled in various matters in various courts. Apart from litigation Mr. Thareja excels in debt transaction matters, project financing, real estate, securities, debt restructuring and advisory services for Indian and foreign investors. His expertise extends to foreign exchange matters and advisory under the Indian Companies Act and pertinent laws. A real asset to the firm, Mr. Thareja brings to the table his years of practical-hands-on-expertise and knowledge of the intricacies of law for the benefit of our clients.
Mr Lalit Munoyat
Mr. Munoyal has 30 years of experience in direct and indirect taxation with mastery in income tax laws and proven expertise in service tax and central excise and customs laws. Professional, more than competent and diligently meticulous, Mr. Munoyat is unassuming and soft spoken with a hard core that focuses on unravelling complexities of the law for the benefit of clients of Hari Global. He is engaged in the taxation practice areas at Hari Global, advising diverse clients about the intricacies of intermeshed laws in India and how best to navigate the narrow channels and emerge safe.
Miss Rashmi Verma
A Masters in Law under her belt qualified her to take on challenging positions in the corporate world that included stints at BHEL where she was Head of Law. Her career span also included work at Allahabad Bank and Punjab National Bank where she held senior positions in the legal department. With a natural flair for law refined by her training and hands-on experience in top organizations, Miss Verma became an expert in drafting agreements, framing MOUs, defining management information reports and diverse other related legal activities. At Hari Global she oversees all such matters related to agreements and examining legal perspectives as well as due diligence and advisory of the highest order.
Mr. Y.P. Behl
Mr. Y P Behl is a graduate of the Delhi University topping it with a CAIIB after which his career path showed a steady upward climb over the 40 years of his service in various nationalized banks. Mr. Behl, in his post as Head of Commercial and Institutional Credit Department contributed richly to the bank’s progress and benefit of clients by coming up with innovative banking solutions apart from reinventing credit lines, drafting agreements and keenly analyzing corporate operations to offer such clients best-in-class solutions. His stint in foreign exchange department earned him rich knowledge in this field. In Hari Global Mr. Behl handles critical banking practices and laws relating to financial and regulatory practices.
Mr. Sujit Kumar Sinha
A degree in Law qualified Mr. Sujit Kumar Sinha for a career in the Indian Revenue Service where he worked for 35 years, ultimately retiring as Chief Commissioner of Customs and Excise after which commenced an immensely successful career as an independent advocate with special emphasis on taxes and contracts, an area in which he excels and benefits the clients of Hari Global who need exceptionally well-informed and pointed advisory. Among other things Mr. Sinha wrote the much read and extremely well applauded paper on Taxing Services: Jurisdictional Issues” published in the Journal of India Law Institute (Vol 56, No 2 pp 236).
Mr. Lokesh Sharma
Mr. Lokesh Sharma’s training and roots are founded in taxation, both direct and indirect, but his vision is towards the future, a quality that inspires Hari Global and its various teams, specially the taxation practice area team. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India besides an MBA in Finance from the AIMA, Mr. Sharma possesses in-depth and expert knowledge in diverse areas further refined and honed by his work experience and practice areas, especially direct and indirect taxes where he offers advisory guidance besides taking on litigation and appeals.
Mr. N K Aggarwal
A Bachelor’s degree in Science with an LLB degree and a CA qualification on top of it makes Mr N K Aggarwal fully knowledgeable about all the legal and technical ramifications of laws. This has been further enhanced by serving in high posts such as being Ex-Assistant Commissioner of CBEC and par of litigation teams handling various direct and indirect tax matters before High Courts and the Supreme Court. Mr Aggarwal is a consultant to leading multi-nationals on tax matters and expert at navigating the complex maze of Central Excise and Customs and service tax laws. Besides, he is an expert on international tax, transfer pricing, international trade and relevant matters at Hari Global, assuring clients of excellence in advisory and practical implementations.
Mr. Vivek Sharma
A background in law and taxation led Mr. Vivek Sharma to specialize in taxation. Currently, manager of taxation department at Hari Global, Mr. Sharma has been serving clients for over 5 years with wealth of knowledge and experience. Along with taxation matters and litigation as well as consultancy, he also handles international client relations, coordination, leading teams and compliances as well as monitoring and reporting functions on behalf of our clients. His expertise benefits clients in IT, construction, telecom, manufacturing and other business verticals where he provides guidance on adoption of right legal and accounting practices.
Mr. D K Sharma
Mr. D K Sharma is a Master’s Degree holder in Civil Engineering further enhanced with a Ph.D. from IIT. Associated with high value construction projects for over 20 years he has ample experience of real estate, infrastructure, project execution, planning and financials besides the technology side of construction. Apart from that, his work experience gained him legal insights in the industry, making him well informed and a decisive leader from start to finish for projects of any scale and magnitude in India or elsewhere. Mr. Raghav Aggarwal
Mr. Raghav Aggarwal is in essence a technocrat with bachelors in Electronics and Communications from JIITU enhanced by a Masters in International Business and MSc in Applied Finance from Singapore where he graduated summa-cum-laude. His penchant for market analysis, competitive research and financial modelling led him to specialize in these segments where he gained expertise working with Big 4. His areas of expertise include compliance reviews, micro and global macro markets, financial innovation and business development among others. Mr. Nilotpal Shyam
Mr. Nilotpal Shyam is a qualified lawyer with a B.A., LLB from Ranchi. He went on to practice as a specialist in corporate law and in arbitration matters. At the same time, he wrote for various journals like the All India Bar Review, the Madras Law Journal, SCC online and Labour Law Journal. A master tactician, he can handle litigation on behalf of plaintiffs or defendants and delivers astounding results. Ms Shivali is young, enthusiastic, well educated and possesses a sharp acumen. She has a B.A and LLB (Hon) from National University of Study and Research in Law in Ranchi. Her specialized area of interest is indirect taxation where she excels due to her profound research and wealth of knowledge gained by study and practice alongside leading advocates. Besides working as an advocate she also finds time to contribute to leading law journals where her papers are acclaimed.
